You are never too young to start your training to be the next fashionista! We created this comprehensive program to introduce our tweens to the exciting world of sewing, guide them through various projects, and help them develop a strong sewing foundation. Our students get to create their own wardrobe, while making new friends!
We are committed to educate our tweens in a safe, relaxed atmosphere where they feel free to express their own style through the art of fashion.
Upon completion of all beginner levels (above), students are able to continue their fashion path by advancing to the teens’ program here in our studio.
If you are between the ages of 8 and 13 and are itching to stitch, this sewing class is for you! In Beginner Sewing for Tweens you will learn the art of hand-stitching and how to properly use a sewing machine. You get to choose your own project to practice the basics; perfect your ability to use a commercial pattern; and fit, construct, and finish a garment!
Learn these DIY basics and start to create your own fashion aesthetic. Learn how to make your own clothes!

FASHION CREATION FOR TWEENS, LEVEL 1
Now that you know the basic sewing techniques, it's time to build on that foundation and take the next step - a more challenging project! In this course, you will learn basic zipper application, darts/princess seam line, proper fitting, and how to apply sleeves and finish a neckline. You can choose to make a top or a simple dress!
Prerequisite: Beginner Sewing for Tweens or equivalent skill level.
Materials: Students are required to bring their own pattern and fabric for the first class.

Fashionistas, its time to push yourself foward in the world of DIY fashion! You can now complete your wardrobe by making your very own one-of-a-kind jacket. In this six week course, take your construction techniques to a new level! Learn the art of creating and applying collars, shoulders, and pockets, and how to properly cut, fit, and line a jacket!
Pre-requisite: Fashion Creation For Tweens Level 1
Students will need to bring one pattern and their pre-washed fabric to the first class.
